Although new to the Hunger Mountain Inn, George & Patricia von Trapp are hospitality veterans. George's family owns the world famous Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe, VT. George worked in the kitchen as a teenager and returned to the family business in 1980. When the old lodge burned to the ground, he was instrumental in the rebuilding of the new lodge and the development of the Trapp Family Guest Houses. Subsequently, George served as General Manager of the Trapp Family Lodge for several years.

While raising a family, Patricia worked for the Stowe Mountain Resort in the child care program. She also worked in human resources at the Trapp Family Lodge and played hostess along side George on many occasions when family appearances were called for.

In many ways, the Hunger Mountain Inn reminds them of the original Trapp Family Lodge. George and Patricia are bringing its tradition of warm, welcoming Vermont hospitality to von Trapp's Hunger Mountain Inn.
